Bangkok, Thailand - "The City of Smiling Faces"

An Incredible Adventure!

In the early spring of 2001, my parents, who are international missionaries, gave my brother and I the option of joining them for a trip to Bangkok, Thailand.  They happened to be doing a conference there in late April and though it would be a neat experience for my brother and I, if we could join them.  

Well, that's how it started.  It's come and gone and these few pages give a glimpse into the Thai People, the history of the Siam empire, and allow you a look into the sometimes not-so-deep thoughts that float through my mind.  

The Setting:

A Pent House on the 15th Floor overlooking the Chao Phyra river, home of the Bangkok president of Unocal.  

Bangkok is polluted to the extent that policemen and others wear masks all day and is home to 8 million people and a large group of ex-patriot people.
